Okay, so today I decided to mess around with something called “zzz assault.” I’d heard whispers about it, figured I’d give it a shot. Honestly, I went in pretty blind, which is kinda how I like to do things sometimes. Just dive in and see what happens.
Getting Started
First thing I did was try to actually figure out what “zzz assault” even is. Turns out, from what i could find, its a kind of a stress-testing thing. I poked around, found what is supposed to be source for it, copied and pasted that bad boy into my IDE.

The Thick of It
Alright, so I had the code, I compiled it, it runs with no errors, sweet.
- First try: Ran that and… immediately realized the server needs to be running already, oops.
- Second try: Got the server running, then ran this again, saw some numbers flying across my screen. No idea what they meant, but it looked like it was doing something.
- Experimenting:I start play with variables, changing the values here and there, trying to increase and decrease the numbers, I spend like an hour to make it higher.
Wrapping Up
So, did I become a “zzz assault” master? Nope. Did I learn something? Maybe. It was more about the process, the fiddling, the “what happens if I do this?” kind of thing. I’ve got a much better idea of where to go next if I want to actually get good at this. Today was just about breaking the ice, making some mistakes, and having a bit of fun doing it.
