Alright, let’s talk about this wrestling stuff, you know, like that CG first target WWE thing. I don’t know much about these fancy names, but I watch it sometimes when the kids are around. They yell and shout, and I just sit there, kinda confused but also kinda entertained.
So, from what I gather, there’s this WWE thing, right? It’s like a big show with all these strong fellas and some tough ladies too, like that Nikki Cross they mentioned. They jump around, they hit each other, and sometimes they even turn on their friends! Can you believe that? Just like those New Day fellas, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, they went and turned against their buddy Big E. Ten years together, and then bam! Just like that, it’s all over. Reminds me of that time old man Johnson’s prize-winning rooster pecked him after he fed it every day for five years. Ungrateful, I tell ya, ungrateful!
And then there’s this Smackdown show in Minneapolis. They got this Cody Rhodes fella, calls himself the “American Nightmare.” Sounds scary, right? But my grandson tells me he’s one of the good guys. And that LA Knight, he’s a champion too. And don’t forget Bianca Belair, she’s tough as nails, that one. These youngsters, they got all these nicknames and fancy moves.
- American Nightmare Cody Rhodes is strong.
- LA Knight is also strong.
- Bianca Belair looks tough.
Now, they were talking about someone called Gable, made history or somethin’. Seems like he beat this Gunther fella, but not really beat him, just kinda… outlasted him or somethin’. They call it a “count-out.” Whatever that means. Gunther, he’s got some kind of championship belt, and even though Gable didn’t really win, he still made history. It’s all a bit confusing, you know? Like trying to figure out why the milk goes sour sometimes, even when you keep it in the icebox.
Then there’s this Alpha Academy group. Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa. My grandson says they only do “traditional” wrestling moves. No eye-gouging or nothin’ like that. Good, I say! Wrestling should be clean, like a good ol’ fashioned barn dance. None of that dirty stuff. My old pa always said, “Fight fair, or don’t fight at all.” And these Alpha Academy folks seem to listen to that, even if they don’t know my pa.
And they keep showing these videos, see? From all the different shows – Raw, Smackdown, NXT. It’s like they never stop! My head spins tryin’ to keep up. They got this “Top 10” thing and somethin’ called a “WWE Playlist.” It’s all just a bunch of highlights, really. Like when you skim the cream off the top of the milk, you get the best part, but you miss all the other stuff.
They said something about “The Wyatt Sicks.” I have no clue who they are, probably more wrestlers. This whole thing is like a never-ending soap opera, but with more muscles and less cryin’. At least, I think so. Sometimes they yell so much, it sounds like cryin’ to me.
And they keep talkin’ about a “new episode.” There’s always a new episode! It’s like when you finish weeding the garden, and the next day, there’s more weeds! It never ends! But I guess that’s how they keep you hooked, you know? Always somethin’ new, somethin’ excitin’. Even if an old lady like me can’t always follow what’s going on.
But hey, it keeps the young’uns entertained, and sometimes it makes me laugh. And sometimes, just sometimes, I even find myself rootin’ for one of them fellas, even though I don’t know why! It’s like pickin’ a tomato at the market – you just go with the one that looks the best, even if you don’t know how it’ll taste.
So, that’s my take on this whole CG first target WWE thing. It’s loud, it’s crazy, and it’s kinda fun, in its own weird way. Just like life, I guess.
