I recently had some free time and decided to play a game of ARAM in League of Legends. It’s been a while, so I was a bit rusty, but hey, it’s ARAM, right? Just a fun, no-pressure game mode. I hopped into the queue, got my champ, and the game started.
I got Miss Fortune. She is not my best champ, but I figured I could still have some fun. I grabbed my starting items and headed to the lane with my team.
My Team was a mess
Right from the start, things were not lookin’ good. Our team composition was all over the place. We had an all AD team which is not very good. And then there’s me, who hasn’t played in ages and is using a champ I am not that familiar with.
The enemy team, on the other hand, had a much better composition. They had a good mix of AP and AD champions, some tanks, and even a healer. It felt like they were taking this ARAM game way too seriously.
Getting Rekt
As soon as the game started, they went full aggro on us. It was one death after another. I tried my best to farm and get some items, but it was tough. Every time I got close to a minion, I got poked down or just straight-up deleted.
My teammates were not faring much better. They were getting caught out, making bad engages, and just generally feeding the enemy team. It was a total stomp. I kept telling myself, “It’s just ARAM, don’t get tilted,” but it was hard not to feel frustrated.
Is it just me
I started to wonder if it was just me. Was I really that bad? I mean, I know I was rusty, but this was ridiculous. I glanced at the scoreboard, and my KDA was abysmal.
It felt like I was playing against pros. They were coordinating their attacks, landing every skill shot, and just dominating the map. Meanwhile, my team was running around like headless chickens.
Still a fun game
Despite all of this, I have to admit, I still had some fun moments. There were a few times when I managed to land a good ult, or get a lucky kill. Those small victories kept me going, even though we were getting destroyed.
In the end, we lost the game, as expected. It was a complete blowout. But you know what? It’s just a game. I brushed it off, closed the client, and went on with my day. I might be bad at League, but I still had fun in my own way.
