So, I’ve been thinking a lot about Stipe Miocic lately. You know, that heavyweight UFC fighter? I gotta say, I feel like he’s really underrated. It started when I saw this title somewhere, “Stipe Miocic, underrated,” and it just stuck with me.
I started digging around, just casual stuff, you know? Reading articles, watching old fights. This guy, Stipe, he’s a beast! He was born in 1982, an American, and get this – he’s also a firefighter! How cool is that? Anyway, he’s been in the UFC’s heavyweight division forever, and he’s considered one of the best, but I just don’t think he gets enough credit.
I remember watching some of his fights, especially that one at UFC 241. Man, that was epic! It really showed why many folks call him the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). And there was this talk about him facing Jon Jones. Jones is another big name, but I was thinking, why is everyone so focused on Jones? Stipe’s got the record, the skills, everything.
I kept going down this rabbit hole, reading comments online, forum posts, the whole nine yards. Some people think he hasn’t beaten enough “great” fighters, but I disagree. He’s lost a few, sure, like that one to Ngannou, but come on! He’s been looking amazing in his recent fights, even better than Jones, in my opinion.
Then there was this one quote that really hit me: “People are underestimating Stipe Miocic, and why is that? It’s because the last time we saw Stipe Miocic was UFC 260.” It made so much sense! People forget how good he is because they haven’t seen him fight in a while. He took a few years off, and then he lost to Jon Jones at UFC 309.
Here’s What I Did To See For Myself:
- Watched a bunch of his fights: Not just the highlights, but the full fights. I wanted to see his style, his technique, how he handles pressure.
- Read a ton of articles: Anything I could find about him, good or bad. I wanted the full picture.
- Compared him to other fighters: Especially Jon Jones, since that’s the big comparison everyone makes. I looked at their records, their opponents, their fighting styles.
After all this, I’m even more convinced that Stipe Miocic is underrated. It’s like, if any other fighter had his record and his skills, they’d be superstars! But for some reason, Stipe just flies under the radar. So, I decided to write all of this down and share with you guys. It’s just my opinion, of course, but I think it’s something worth thinking about. That’s all I have been through to get that he is really underrated.
