Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole “shortest UFC fighter” thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a rabbit hole. I started off just kind of curious, you know? Like, who’s the shortest dude or gal throwing down in the octagon? I mean we all talk about the tallest, but the shortest?
First, I just went on a general search. Just typed in “shortest UFC fighter” and boom, a bunch of names popped up. There were some articles about it, some forum discussions. I started browsing them one by one.
The thing is, it got a little confusing. Some sites were saying one person, others were saying another. Some were listing fighters who, turns out, weren’t even in the UFC anymore. It was a mess. So I figured, okay, I gotta be a little more organized about this.
I decided to grab a pen and paper, and made two lists – one for the guys and one for the gals, so it will be clearer, you know. Then I started jotting down names and their heights. Sometimes the reach info was there too, so I added that, just for kicks. I used my notebook and wrote down the names that kept coming up. For the men, the name Demetrious Johnson kept coming up. For the ladies, it was Jessica Andrade a lot of the time.
Then I started sorting them, you know, shortest to tallest. I ended up focusing on the current roster, ’cause who cares who was the shortest five years ago, right? We want the info for now!
Here is what I did
- Searched for shortest fighters I started by just typing “shortest UFC fighter” into the search bar and seeing what came up.
- Narrowed down the results After browsing through a bunch of results, I realized I needed to focus on current fighters to get the most accurate info.
- Created a list I made a list of the shortest fighters in each weight class, both male and female. This was tough, some had conflicting info, but I cross-referenced a bunch of sites to make sure it was legit.
- Double checked the data I made sure all the fighters on my list were actually currently competing in the UFC.
I realized that this “Puja Tomar” is the shortest one, 4’9″! After sorting through all the names and heights, I finally had a pretty solid list, and it was actually kind of cool to see. You got these smaller fighters going up against some giants, and sometimes they win! It just goes to show you, size isn’t everything.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of the shortest UFC fighters. It was a bit more work than I expected, but hey, now I know who they are. Hope you guys find it interesting too!
