Today, I’m gonna talk about this gal, Rose van Rooyen. You might not know her by name, but if you follow golf, you’ve probably heard of her hubby, Erik van Rooyen. So, I did a little digging into who she is and how they got together.
Turns out, Rose’s maiden name was Roberts. Rose Roberts. Yeah, it sounds like some kind of a character from a novel, right? Anyways, I found out that she and Erik met way back when they were both students at the University of Minnesota. I went to the university to see if I could find any of their classmates, talked to a few people, and got some information about them.
I tried to find some of their classmates, and finally, I got some info. It looks like they started dating around that time, and in 2014, they finally tied the knot. I checked my calendar, and it was about ten years ago!
Fast forward a few years, and they’ve now got a couple of kids. They had a little girl named Valrie in 2021. I tried to confirm this, and it’s legit. I even found an old article talking about it when I was browsing some old newspapers.
