Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Edgar in Brawl Stars, trying to figure out the absolute best way to build him. I mean, he’s a cool brawler, jumping in and out of fights, but he can be super squishy if you’re not careful. So, here’s what I did, and it’s been working pretty darn well.
Gearing Up
First things first, I experimented with a bunch of different Gear combinations. I tried the Damage Gear, thinking “more damage = more better,” right? Wrong! It felt like I was still getting melted too fast.

Then, I switched to a combination of the Shield Gear and the Health Gear. The extra shield gives Edgar a little more breathing room when he jumps in, letting him survive that initial burst of damage. And the Health Gear, well, more health is always good, you know?
Gadget Choice
For Gadgets, I was really torn. I started with the “Let’s Fly” gadget, which increases Edgar’s super charge. I figured more supers meant more jumping, more damage, and faster kills. Seemed logical. But, I was still dying a lot.
So I swapped that out for the “Hardcore” gadget. Man, what a difference! That shield is a lifesaver. It lets me jump into a fight, soak up some serious damage, and either finish off my target or jump back out to safety. Seriously, “Hardcore” is the way to go.
Star Power Dilemma
Now, Star Powers… this was a tough one. I used “Fisticuffs” for a while, which heals Edgar more with his attack. It sounds amazing, helps with his survivability, yeah? But, still something missing.
Finally, I landed on “Hard Landing.” That extra damage when Edgar lands from his Super? It’s HUGE. It lets me quickly take down enemies before they can even react. I’m talking about turning a two- or three-hit kill into a one- or two-hit. This is my choise, definitely.
Putting It All Together
- Gear 1: Shield Gear
- Gear 2: Health Gear
- Gadget: Hardcore
- Star Power: Hard Landing
So, after all that tinkering, this is the build I’m sticking with. Shield and Health Gears for survivability, “Hardcore” gadget for that crucial shield, and “Hard Landing” Star Power for that extra burst damage. I jumped into a bunch of matches, and I was consistently doing way better. I was surviving longer, getting more kills, and generally just wreaking havoc. Trust me, give this build a try, you’ll thank me.
