Okay, let’s talk about that superboss hanging out in Nivea Barrens. Decided it was time to give it a real try. Heard it was tough, but you know how it is, gotta see for yourself.
First Look and Getting Wrecked
So, I just jumped in first time, pretty much with my usual story team. Yeah, that didn’t go well. Got absolutely smashed in like, three turns? Barely scratched it. It hits hard, really hard, and seemed to have some nasty tricks up its sleeve. Couldn’t really tell what exactly, because my team vaporized so fast.

Did that a couple more times, trying to see the pattern. Noticed it definitely punishes you for certain things, maybe using certain elements or buffs? It was all happening too quick to be sure. Definitely needed a proper plan.
Figuring Out a Team
Alright, back to the drawing board. Pulled up my character list. Knew I needed serious damage mitigation and healing. Started thinking about who could tank those hits or provide big shields. Also, reliable healing is a must, not just burst heals but something consistent.
Thought about elemental coverage too. Does it have a weakness? Or resistances? Tried to remember what little I saw. Seemed like I needed specific damage types, maybe blunt or pierce? Put together a potential team:
- Someone sturdy: Had to take those big hits.
- Big Healer: Someone who could top everyone off quickly.
- Support Buffs/Debuffs: Needed to boost my damage and reduce the boss’s power.
- Main Damage Dealer: Someone who could actually chunk down its massive health pool.
Swapped characters in and out a few times based on who I had leveled and geared. Took a while just settling on a lineup I thought might work.
The Grind for Gear and Grasta
Team picked, but knew their current gear probably wasn’t cutting it. This is where the real time sink came in. Had to farm specific materials for better armor and weapons. Took ages running those Another Dungeons over and over.
Then came the Grasta. This superboss felt like it needed specific setups. Farmed for stuff like pain/poison setters and the Grasta that boosts damage against enemies with those statuses. Also looked for defensive Grasta, like type resistance or max HP boosts. Spent a solid chunk of time just optimizing Grasta for each character on the team. Moving them around, awakening them… you know the drill. It’s tedious but necessary for these big fights.

The Actual Fight – Getting Closer
Okay, geared up, Grasta set, team ready. Went back in. This time felt different. I could actually survive a few rounds! Started to see the mechanics more clearly. There was definitely a pattern to its attacks, specific thresholds where it did something nasty.
Managed my skills carefully. Kept the buffs and debuffs up constantly. Timed my heals right after the big hits. Charged the Another Force gauge as quickly as possible, trying to unleash it at the right moment, maybe break a nasty phase or just pour on the damage.
It was still tough. Made mistakes. Wiped a few more times, but each time I learned something. Maybe needed to tweak the AF rotation, or use a defensive skill at a different time. It required concentration, couldn’t just auto-pilot this one.
Finally Taking It Down
Then came the attempt where everything just clicked. Rotation was smooth, buffs were up, debuffs landed. Got the AF off at a crucial moment, bringing its health down significantly. Survived its desperation attacks near the end, heart pounding a bit, not gonna lie.
And then… it was done. The boss finally fell. Felt pretty good, gotta say. These superbosses are a real challenge, makes the victory feel earned after all that prep work and grinding.
Didn’t get anything super flashy, I think just the usual completion rewards, but the main thing was just beating it. Proving to myself the team and strategy worked out after all that effort. Now, onto the next challenge, I guess!
