Alright, so I jumped into Monopoly Go the other day, just doing my usual rounds, you know? And bam, this “Cupid’s Cuties” thing popped up on the screen. Looked like another partner event, the kind where you gotta pair up with other players to build stuff.
Finding Partners – The Usual Scramble
First job, always, is finding folks to team up with. This part can be a real toss-up. I scrolled down my friend list, sending invites to the ones I know actually play the game regularly. Got lucky, two accepted pretty fast. Needed two more though. Had to look around a bit, maybe ask in a group I’m in. You always gotta be a bit careful who you partner with, some people just don’t pull their weight. Eventually, managed to get all four slots filled. Felt ready to go.

Getting Into It – Spinning and Grinding
So the main deal was collecting these little heart tokens. They were scattered around the board on certain tiles. You also got some from the daily login bonuses and doing the quick win tasks. Pretty standard stuff. Once you had enough hearts, you went to the event section and used them to spin a wheel for your partner projects. Each partner pair has its own little cake or whatever structure you build together.
Honestly, getting those hearts felt like a chore sometimes. I’d be rolling and rolling, landing everywhere except on the heart tiles. Burned through my dice stash way faster than I wanted. I tried cranking up the multiplier, hoping for a big payout of hearts. Sometimes it worked, hit a good spot and got a bunch. Other times? Just wasted dice for little return. That’s the game, I guess.
Partner Performance – Mixed Bag
How’d my partners do? Well, it was mixed. One of them was awesome, really putting in the effort, spinning that wheel constantly. We knocked out our shared project pretty quick. Another partner was doing okay, contributing steadily. But then there was one… barely saw any points from them. Felt like I was doing all the work on that one. It happens, but it’s still annoying when you’re trying to finish the whole event.
The Rewards – Worth It?
We did manage to finish three out of the four partner things. Got some dice, a decent chunk of in-game cash, and a few sticker packs. Always chasing those stickers, right? Always hoping for a new gold one. The rewards were okay, standard for these events. But because of that one slacking partner, we didn’t complete the fourth structure. That meant missing out on the grand prize for finishing all four. Kind of a letdown, especially after grinding for all those hearts.
Final Thoughts on Cupid’s Cuties
So, yeah. Cupid’s Cuties. It was an event. It happened. Played it. It followed the usual partner event formula pretty closely. Maybe the heart token collection felt a bit slower this time, or maybe my dice rolls were just unlucky. Having active partners is key, absolutely crucial. If you get paired with someone who doesn’t play, it really drags things down. I got some stuff out of it, so wasn’t a total waste of time. But was it amazing? Nah. Just another Monopoly Go event cycle. On to the next one they throw at us.
