Okay, so I’ve been glued to the TV all week, right? And this Friday, oh boy, it was WWE Friday Night SmackDown, episode 43. I just had to dive in and see what all the fuss was about. I mean, who doesn’t love a good wrestling showdown?
First off, I fired up my laptop and went straight to check out the WWE website. I wanted to see if there was a live stream going on ’cause, you know, I like to catch things as they happen. Sadly, no dice on that front this time. It’s all good though, I figured I’d just catch it on USA Network later. 8 PM sharp, that’s when the action was set to start.
Then, I remembered something about this whole Netflix deal. I did a little digging and yeah, apparently, they’re gonna be showing a bunch of WWE stuff, including SmackDown. But that’s more for folks outside the US. I read somewhere they’re shelling out like, 5 billion dollars for this. Crazy, right? For us here, it’s still Peacock for the Premium Live Events, which is fine by me.
- Watched the clock until 8 PM.
- Flipped over to USA Network.
- Got comfy on the couch.
The show kicked off, and it was pretty intense. There was this whole buzz about Cody Rhodes and the Bloodline. I’m not gonna lie, I was kinda hoping Roman Reigns would step in and help Cody out. That would’ve been epic! The whole thing kept me on the edge of my seat. Two hours just flew by. I heard later that they were planning to keep it at two hours, not longer. Works for me!
After the Show
Once it wrapped up, I started thinking about how huge this whole thing is. It’s not just a wrestling show, it’s like, this massive production. And it’s everywhere! TV, streaming, you name it. This NBCUniversal folks are really onto something, making bank in 2025, that’s for sure.
So yeah, that was my Friday night. Wrestling, a bit of internet sleuthing, and a whole lot of excitement. Can’t wait to see what happens next week!
