Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something related to “Brad Maddox referee.” I’d heard the name before, knew he was a wrestler, but the referee part got me curious.
First thing I did was just a simple search. Typed in “Brad Maddox” and saw a bunch of stuff about his wrestling career. Turns out, the guy’s real name is Tyler Kluttz. He was in WWE for a while, did some wrestling in their developmental territory, FCW, which later became NXT. He was even a tag team champion there with Briley Pierce.
Then I started digging into the referee angle. Turns out, after his time as a wrestler, he transitioned into being a referee in WWE. I found some old forum posts and discussions where people were talking about seeing him officiate matches. He wasn’t just any ref, though. They gave him a specific character.
- He was a “crooked” referee.
- Like, he would make bad calls on purpose to favor certain wrestlers.
- Made for some interesting storylines, I guess.
I tried to find some videos of him as a referee. But it looks like it is a little difficult to find videos of him. However, I found some pictures of him in his referee outfit.
So that’s basically what I did today. I started with a simple search, dug deeper into his referee career, read some old discussions, and tried to find some videos or pictures. Learned about his crooked ref gimmick, and ended up spending a good chunk of the afternoon just going down this rabbit hole of wrestling history. It’s kinda funny how you can start with one little thing and end up learning a whole lot more than you expected.
