Okay, so I saw this American Nightmare Cody tattoo thing blowing up online, and I was like, “What’s the big deal?” But then I saw the picture of Cody Rhodes, and man, that neck tattoo is somethin’ else. I had to try it myself. Not a real one, of course, but just to see how it feels, you know?
First, I searched for temporary tattoo shops online. Found a few that looked okay, but I wanted something specific, something that looked just like Cody’s. It’s not just any design, it’s an “American Nightmare” one, gotta get it right.

I finally stumbled upon this one site that had a whole section dedicated to custom temporary tattoos. Sweet! I uploaded a picture of Cody’s tattoo, the one where it’s all clear and sharp. Took a bit of back and forth with their designer to get the size and everything perfect. It’s going on my neck, after all, gotta make sure it fits right.
Ordering and Waiting
- Placed the order.
- Waited for like a week.
- Package arrived!
When the package finally showed up, I was stoked! Tore it open like a kid on Christmas morning. Inside, there it was, my very own American Nightmare temporary neck tattoo. Looked just like the real deal, too. The colors, the design, everything was spot on. I spent time to compare it with the original pictures of Cody’s. The Rock was involved somehow, I don’t know the story really well.
Putting It On
Putting it on was a bit tricky. I followed the instructions, you know, the usual stuff. Cleaned my neck, placed the tattoo, wet it with a damp cloth, and held it there for a while. Peeling off the backing was the most nerve-wracking part. But I did it, slow and steady. And there it was, in all its glory, the American Nightmare tattoo, right there on my neck.
I gotta say, it felt kinda weird at first, having something that big and bold on my neck. But also kinda cool. I walked around the house, flexing in the mirror. Even went out to the grocery store with it. Got a few stares, a couple of confused looks, but hey, it was fun. I guess many people have no idea what Alcatraz Island is and why there are these tattoos related to it.
It lasted for a few days, which was pretty impressive. Started to fade a bit after that, but it was easy enough to remove with some rubbing alcohol. Overall, it was a fun little experiment. Would I get a real neck tattoo like that? Probably not. But it was cool to experience it for a little while, to feel like a “nightmare” myself, even if just for a few days.
