Okay, so I wanted to boost my attack power in Elden Ring. I’m not the best player, I kept getting my butt kicked, so I figured I needed an edge. Here’s what I did:
Leveling Up My Stats
First thing, the most basic thing, I pumped levels into stats. This sounds obvious, but it’s important.

- Strength: I put points into Strength because that is for the big, heavy weapons I like to use.
- Dexterity: If you’re using faster weapons, you can add levels into Dexterity.
- Intelligence/Faith/Arcane: I also use some spells and skills, So i also added some levels for them, but you can focus on what your weapons need.
I went to that lady at the Roundtable Hold, used my Runes, and just beefed up those key stats. Simple as that.
Upgrading My Weapons
Next, I took my weapons to the blacksmith. The first one at the Church of Elleh, or the better one at the Roundtable Hold.
- Smithing Stones:I made sure to find a good place to get a bunch of Smithing Stones.
- Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade!:I just kept upgrading as much as I could. The higher the weapon level, the better the damage.
Using the Right Talismans
Talismans are basically the magic, I got myself some talismans that directly boosted attack power.
- Radagon’s Soreseal:This one’s great but makes you take more damage.
- Various Attack Boosters: There are others, like the Axe Talisman for heavy attacks, or ones that boost specific weapon types. I experimented to see what felt best.
I just explored to find the good talisman, and put them in my gear slot.
Choosing the Right Ash of War
Ashes of War are awesome. They give you special skills and can change your weapon’s scaling.
- “Heavy” Affinity: If I’m going for Strength, I slap a “Heavy” Ash of War on my weapon. This makes it scale even better with Strength.
- Experiment!:There are other Ashes of War that add fire damage, magic damage, all sorts of stuff. It’s fun to see what works.
You put them on at a Site of Grace, or that blacksmith can do it too.

Buffing Before Big Fights
Finally, before a tough boss or a nasty enemy, I buff up like crazy.
- Spells and Incantations: Some spells give you attack boosts.I don’t have any right now, but I would use them if I did.
- Consumables: There are items you can eat or use that give you temporary buffs. I found some grease things that add fire or lightning damage.
So, that’s it. I just followed these ways, and I’m hitting a lot harder now. I can finally beat that boss now! Hopefully, this helps you too!
