Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this “Boothill signature LC” thing in Honkai: Star Rail, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I heard a lot of folks talking about how Boothill is all about that Break DMG, and I wanted to see what the hype was about. Plus, I’ve been hoarding resources like a squirrel preparing for winter, specifically for Aventurine and Robin, so I figured I had enough to spare to try my luck with Boothill and his special Light Cone.
First off, getting that signature Light Cone, “Sailing Towards A Second Life,” wasn’t a walk in the park. I was sitting at 60 pity on the character banner, but still on a 50/50, so every pull felt like rolling the dice in a high-stakes game. It was sweaty work. But I finally snagged it! Man, did that feel good.
Now, here’s the thing about this Light Cone, apparently, there aren’t any other good ones for Boothill that focus on Break Effect. So, if you’re not planning to grab his signature one, you’re kinda stuck. Luckily, I got mine. The grind for the materials to level it up was real, though. I needed, like, 385,000 credits, 4 Meteoric Bullets, 12 Destined Expirations, 15 Countertemporal Shots, and a bunch of other stuff. I spent days just farming those Tatters of Thought, I tell ya.
Once I had the Light Cone sorted, I started looking into his Relics. I slapped on a 4-piece set of Thief of Shooting Meteor. The 2-piece bonus gives a 16% Break Effect boost, and the 4-piece gives another 16%, plus some Energy regen when you hit a Weakness Break. I also heard that Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is the ornament set. It increases Break Effect by 16 percent. And if speed hits 145 or higher, it increases more Break Effect. This setup seemed pretty solid, at least on paper.
I tested this build out in a few battles, and wow, Boothill was smashing through enemies like a hot knife through butter. That Break DMG is no joke. With the Light Cone and Relics, he was just melting those toughness bars. It felt really satisfying to see those big yellow numbers pop up.
Here’s what I did, step-by-step:
- Pulled for Boothill’s signature Light Cone: “Sailing Towards A Second Life”. It took a while, but it was worth it.
- Farmed materials to level up the Light Cone: This took days. Lots of grinding.
- Equipped Boothill with a 4-piece Thief of Shooting Meteor Relic set: For that sweet, sweet Break Effect.
- Put on the Talia: Kingdom of Banditry ornament set: More Break Effect? Yes, please!
- Took him out for a spin: Watched him demolish enemies with that boosted Break DMG.
So yeah, that’s my Boothill experience so far. It’s been a lot of work, but seeing him in action makes it all worthwhile. If you’re thinking about building Boothill, I’d say definitely go for his signature Light Cone if you can. It really makes a difference. Good luck, and happy gaming!
