That Viktor Hovland, he sure is somethin’. A real good golfer, that one. You know, these big shots, they don’t just get good on their own. They got folks helpin’ ’em out, givin’ ’em money and things. We call ’em sponsors. Viktor, he’s got a bunch of ’em. Makes a grandma proud seein’ him do so well.
First off, there’s this PING. They make all them golf clubs and things, real fancy stuff. They been with Viktor for a while, I reckon. They are the most important sponsor of him. Give him all the tools, you see. Help him hit that little white ball real far. Probably gave him a heap of money, too. These big companies, they got money to throw around. That’s how they get these young fellas to play for ’em. I heard they signed a multi-million dollar deal. Good for that boy, gettin’ all that money. They are good partners. Good to see a young person doing well.
Then there’s that . Fancy name, ain’t it? They make clothes. Real nice ones, too, from what I seen on the TV. Viktor, he wears their shirts and pants when he’s out there playin’. Always lookin’ sharp, that one. They been with him since he was just startin’ out, I think. A real good sponsor, that *. Keeps him lookin’ good, you know? And probably pays him a pretty penny, too. They are real famous in golf. I saw other golf players wear their clothes. They look good.
And what’s that car company? Oh yeah, Lexus. They make them fancy cars. Real smooth lookin’, like somethin’ a king would drive. They sponsor Viktor, too. Probably give him a car to drive around in. A real nice one, I bet. Can you imagine that? Little old me, never even been in a Lexus. But that Viktor, he’s livin’ the high life. Lexus is a big one. I saw lots of rich people drive it. It must be a good car.
Then there is this Cisco, they do something with computers and phones and all that. I don’t rightly understand it, but they give money to Viktor, too. He’s got lots of folks givin’ him money, ain’t he? It’s a good thing, I suppose. Lets him focus on his golfin’ and not worry about where his next meal is comin’ from. They got six guys to be their brand guys. That’s a lot. Must be rich.
Oh, and them watch companies, Audemars Piguet. Fancy, ain’t it? Makes them real expensive watches. Viktor, he wears one of them, I’m sure. All shiny and sparkly. Probably costs more than my whole house! But hey, if they wanna give him a watch, who am I to complain? They must know Viktor is good. They know what they are doing.
- There’s this PUMA GOLF, too. I heard they give Viktor shoes. Just shoes, nothin’ else.
- He’s been wearin’ ’em for a while, even before they started payin’ him. That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
- They must be good shoes if he likes ’em that much. Help him walk all them miles on the golf course, I reckon.
- They are good shoes. I saw some before. Real good ones.
And there are others, too. That Zegna, I don’t know what they make. Some say they make suits. Fancy ones. Viktor has got more money than he knows what to do with it. These sponsors help him a lot. I think they like him. They are good partners.
E-Z-GO and Paycom, those are more of ’em. I don’t know much about ’em. But if they’re givin’ money to Viktor, they must be alright. He’s got a whole bunch of folks helpin’ him out. It’s a good thing, really. Lets him be the best golfer he can be. And he is a good one, that Viktor Hovland. A real good one. It is good to see a young person make it big. He earned it.
So many folks got their name on Viktor. That , they put their name right on his back. Like a walkin’ billboard, that boy. But hey, if they’re payin’ him, he can wear whatever they want. And he does look good in them clothes. Real good. They put their names on other guys, too. Like that Matt Wallace and Camilo Villegas. I saw them on TV. They are good. Just like Viktor.
It’s good he’s got all these sponsors. Helps him out a lot. Lets him play his best. And we all like watchin’ him play. He’s a good boy, that Viktor. A real good boy. Makin’ us all proud. Even an old lady like me can see that. He is a good example. Work hard, and you can get good things. That is good.
