Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “valkyrae ex” thing pop up all over my feed, and honestly, I was curious. I mean, who wasn’t following that whole Valkyrae and Sonii drama? So, I decided to do a little digging, a little deep dive, if you will. It all started, like most things these days, with a simple search.
First, I just wanted the basics. Who is this Sonii guy, anyway? I knew he streamed, but that’s about it. Turns out, his real name is Michael Sherman. Good to know, I guess.
Then I wanted to trace it back. When did they even start dating? It felt like they were together forever, you know? It took some scrolling, going through old tweets and posts (thank goodness for the internet archive, am I right?), but I found some stuff hinting that they were an item way back.
The breakup… that’s where things got really messy. It was all over social media, people taking sides, speculation everywhere. I found the announcement, the one where they said they were splitting up. January 2021. It hit me harder than I thought it would, I’d been mindlessly following the relationship for what felt like years. Felt kinda bummed, honestly.
