Alright, guys, let’s talk about iron smelting in V Rising. This was a bit of a journey for me, so I figured I’d share my experience and hopefully save you some time and frustration.
First things first, I needed to find the recipe. I’d heard whispers about a certain boss, so I set out to track him down. I spent a good few hours just exploring, clearing out bandit camps, and generally getting my bearings in the world.

Finding the Recipe
Eventually, I stumbled upon the Bandit Armory. And that is the key.I knew I was in the right place. The boss, Quincy the Bandit King, he’s a tough one. I tried to take him on solo a couple of times and, well, let’s just say it didn’t go well. He’s got this jump attack that just wrecks you, and he summons these annoying bandit buddies.I’ll tell you how I beat him.
So, I swallowed my pride and asked for help in the general chat. Thankfully, a couple of higher-level players took pity on me and joined my game. Teamwork makes the dream work, people! With their help, we managed to take Quincy down. And there it was, the recipe for the iron ingots and the forge.I also got a cool new weapon skill, but that’s a story for another day.
Gathering Resources
With the recipe in hand, I headed back to my castle. The next step was gathering the necessary resources. For the forge, that I needed, I don’t remember, but I was running back and forth between the wiki and the game. And, of course, to make iron ingots, you need Iron Ore, I needed 20 ores to make 1 iron ingot. That I was looking for.
- Scourgestone
- Iron Ore
- Other Stuff
Now, finding Iron Ore was another adventure in itself. I had heard it was more common in certain regions, so I focused my search there. I used the map extensively, marking potential mining spots. It took some time, but I eventually found a decent vein and started mining away.I was carrying my ore back to my castle, and a random enemy just killed me. Be carefull with this.
Smelting the Iron
Back at my castle, I finally had everything I needed. I built the forge, which felt like a huge accomplishment after all that work. And then I did smelting the iron ore and after a while, and I had my first iron ingot. It’s a great feeling, seeing that shiny new resource in your inventory, I screamed like a kid.
So, that’s my iron smelting story in V Rising. It’s definitely a process, but a rewarding one. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, explore every nook and cranny, and celebrate those small victories. Good luck, fellow vampires!
