Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this game, “Wuthering Waves,” right? And the graphics are pretty sweet, but I was stuck at 60 frames per second (FPS). For a game like this, you really want things to be smoother, especially during those intense action scenes.
So I thought, “There’s gotta be a way to unlock the frame rate.” I mean, the game’s capable of it, my rig can handle it, so why not? And I did it!
First, I did some digging around on the internet. You know, the usual forums and stuff. Turns out, a few other folks were trying to do the same thing. Some were talking about messing with game files, others were saying you had to change some settings, but it was all kind of confusing.
But then I stumbled upon this one method that seemed pretty straightforward. Basically, it involved downloading the newest Nvidia driver and some software to change it to the fps we need. So I gave it a shot. I went to their official website and installed the 555.85 version, the latest one. Then, I got this little program called “nvidiaProfileInspector” — sounds fancy, huh? — and it lets you tweak all sorts of settings for your graphics card.
Once I had that installed, I opened it up and found the profile for “Wuthering Waves.” There were tons of options, but I was looking for two specific ones. “Frame Rate Limiter” is the one we want to change. I first changed the “Frame Rate Limiter Mode” to the last choice. Then I changed the value of “Frame Rate Limiter” to 120 fps, or whichever you like. I personally prefer 120fps. Remember to hit “Apply Changes”! That’s important!
Next, you need to go to your NVIDIA Control Panel. Go to “Manage 3D Settings”. Add your game’s exe file into it. Find the “Max Frame Rate” in it and change it to 120 fps. Apply it and you’re done!
The Result
I fired up the game and… boom! 120 FPS, smooth as butter. Seriously, it was like a whole new game. The combat felt so much more responsive, the animations were gorgeous, and I was just blown away.
So yeah, if you’re playing “Wuthering Waves” and you’re stuck at 60 FPS, give this a try. It’s totally worth it. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
