Well, let me tell you something about this UFC 4 game, and don’t go around thinking it’s got all those fancy things like crossplay, cause it don’t! No, sir, it don’t work that way at all. I heard people ask if UFC 4 has crossplay, and I reckon I gotta clear up some things right here. UFC 4, the one where you get to fight like a big shot, is only for folks with Xbox One and PS4. And that’s it, mind you. Ain’t no cross-platform magic going on here, so don’t go thinking you can fight someone on PlayStation while you sittin’ over there on your Xbox or PC.
You see, the thing is, UFC 4 just don’t have crossplay. Some folks were hopin’ maybe in the future, EA Sports might add it in, but from what I know, it ain’t happening for UFC 4, no sir. So if you’re tryin’ to get in a match with someone on a different console, you better think again. It’s just the way it is.
So, what about UFC 5?
Well, looks like UFC 5 ain’t gonna be any different. I heard from some folks on Reddit and other places, and the answer is still no. UFC 5 won’t have crossplay either. So, if you’re hopin’ that UFC 4’s successor might fix things, you’ll just have to wait and see. But right now, there’s no crossplay there, neither.
Why don’t we have crossplay?
Now, why in the world don’t we have crossplay? That’s the big question, ain’t it? Well, I reckon it’s ’cause the folks at EA Sports got their reasons. Might be somethin’ technical, might be about keepin’ things simple for folks on the same platform. I don’t know all the details, but I do know they haven’t made it happen. They probably look at it like, ‘If you want to play with your friends, just buy the same kind of console they got.’ Maybe that’s the plan, who knows?
Does it make a difference?
Now, some folks might be askin’, “Does it really matter that there’s no crossplay?” Well, if you ask me, I’d say it’s a bit of a disappointment. I mean, it’s nice when you can play with folks no matter what kind of system they got, but with UFC 4, you’re stuck with the people who got the same console as you. If you’re like me and don’t got a lot of friends with the same game setup, you might feel a little left out. But I guess, that’s just the way it is.
UFC 4’s Platform Availability
Now, before I forget, if you’re new to this whole UFC 4 thing, you better know what platforms you can play it on. It’s out there for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Ain’t no PS5 or Xbox Series X/S versions of UFC 4, so if you’re hopin’ to play it on the latest console, well, you’re gonna have to stick with the older versions. Ain’t no use tryin’ to run it on a newer system ‘cause it just won’t work right.
What’s next for UFC games?
Well, since UFC 4 don’t have crossplay, folks are lookin’ to what’s comin’ next. UFC 5 might be on the horizon, but like I said, no promises about crossplay there either. We might have to just wait and see if the people at EA decide to make it happen. Who knows, maybe down the line, they’ll figure it out. But as of now, you can’t play with folks on different platforms. You’re stuck with your own kind.
In the meantime, you just gotta make do with what you got. Grab your console, fire up UFC 4, and hope you got some good buddies to play with. It’s a shame about the crossplay, but that’s the world we live in, I guess.
