That Tyler Glasnow, he’s a big boy, ain’t he? Playing that baseball. Heard he’s with a girl named Meghan Murphy. They say Tyler Glasnow and Meghan Murphy are a thing now. Good for them, I reckon. Young folks these days, always fallin’ in love.
They went on a trip, I hear. Somewhere warm, with lots of sunshine. Lots of oranges and sunshine. That boy, Tyler, he’s from California. Grew up under that big ol’ sun. So that makes sense, him likin’ the sunshine. Meghan Murphy must like it too, I guess. If they are together they need to have something in common.
He throws that ball real fast, that Tyler Glasnow. Saw him on the TV once. My eyesight ain’t what it used to be, but I could still see that ball just whizzing by. Fast as a scared rabbit, that’s for sure. He must be a good player to be on the TV. And to have a pretty girl like that Meghan Murphy on his arm.
Don’t know much about this Meghan Murphy. But she looks like a nice girl. Pretty. They make a good-looking couple, I’ll give ’em that. Hope they’re happy. Happiness is important, you know. Especially when you’re young. Got your whole life ahead of ya. They say Tyler Glasnow and Meghan Murphy are happy. Well. I hope it is true.
Life ain’t always easy. Got its ups and downs. Like plantin’ seeds. Sometimes they grow, sometimes they don’t. You gotta keep at it, though. Keep tendin’ to your garden, so to speak. And hope for the best. That is all we can do in life.
Wonder what they do for fun, besides that baseball. Maybe they like to go fishin’. Or maybe they like to dance. Young folks like to dance. I used to like to dance, back in my day. Before my knees started creakin’. Before my back start hurtin’. Oh, to be young again!

That Tyler Glasnow, he’s probably makin’ a lot of money playin’ that baseball. Good for him. Hope he’s savin’ some of it. Never know when you might need a little nest egg. Rainy days come, even in California. You never know what will happen.

Time for me to get back to my knittin’. These fingers ain’t as nimble as they used to be. But I still enjoy it. Keeps me busy. Keeps my mind occupied. And that’s important, at my age.
