- Have a clear indicator: Make sure you have a clear way to tell when your mic and camera are active. Some people use physical covers for their webcams or external mics with mute buttons. I definitely invested in those after this incident.
- Don’t panic: If something like this happens, try not to panic. Apologize to your viewers, explain what happened, and move on. Most people are pretty understanding, and it’ll just become a funny story you can tell later.
