Okay, so I’ve been playing around with different attack strategies at Town Hall 10, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey! I started off just throwing troops at bases, you know, the usual “spray and pray” method. Didn’t work so well. I got crushed, lost a ton of resources, and felt pretty dumb.
Figuring Out My Army
First, I realized I needed a plan. I couldn’t just wing it anymore. So, I started looking at what other people were doing. Watched some replays, read some guides, the whole nine yards. I decided to experiment with a few different army compositions. I tried GoWiPe, which is Golems, Wizards, and P.E.K.*. It was okay, but I felt like it lacked a little punch sometimes. I did use GoWiPe a lot.

- Golems: My meat shields. I always sent them in first to soak up damage.
- Wizards: My damage dealers. Positioned them behind the Golems, hoping they wouldn’t get targeted too quickly.
- P.E.K.*: The heavy hitters. I saved them for the core of the base, usually.
Then I messed around with Queen Walk variations. Man, the Queen is powerful! But it’s tricky. I learned the hard way that if she gets caught out by an X-Bow or an Inferno Tower, it’s game over. So, I practiced funneling her, making sure she went where I wanted her to go. I used Wall Breakers and Baby Dragons to try and control her path.
The Attack Process
My basic attack goes something like this:
- Scout the base:Check the placement to see what I’m dealing with.
- Funnel, funnel, funnel: I destroy outside buildings to control where my troops will go.
- Deploy the main force: Usually Golems first, followed by Wizards and P.E.K.*, or starting the Queen Walk.
- Use spells wisely: Rage Spells when my troops are engaging, Heal Spells when they’re taking heavy fire, and maybe a Jump Spell to get into a tough compartment.
- Hope for the best: Seriously, sometimes it just comes down to luck!
My Results and Tweaks
I’m not gonna lie, I still mess up sometimes. But I’m definitely getting better. I’m winning more attacks, and I’m actually starting to understand why certain strategies work and others don’t. I started paying more attention to Clan Castle troops, for example. Luring them out and dealing with them separately made a HUGE difference.
I’ve also tweaked my army composition based on the base I’m attacking. If it’s a compact base, I might use more P.E.K.*. If it’s spread out, I might go heavier on the Wizards. It’s all about adapting.
Overall, I found out a good attack at town hall 10 is less about a single “magic” strategy and more about understanding the fundamentals: funneling, troop deployment, spell usage, and adapting to the base you’re facing. And that’s my story.
