Oh, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Jeff Kirkpatrick fella, alright? Now, Jeff here ain’t no stranger to the big city life, but he grew up just like you and me in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He’s actually pretty well-known ‘cause he used to be married to Holly Holm, that famous fighter, ya know? Holly, she’s the one who’s been up there in the UFC ring, takin’ down her opponents like a tornado in a cornfield! Well, Jeff was her man for quite a while, and they went through a lot together. But life took ‘em down different roads, and they ended up partin’ ways, just like sometimes happens, ya know?
Now, they say Jeff and Holly met right in their hometown, so it was one of them stories where the gal next door meets the boy next door kinda things. They both grew up right there in Albuquerque, which probably made ‘em feel close, bein’ from the same town and all. But life got a bit rocky, and it seems they couldn’t stay on the same path forever.
So, when did things start fallin’ apart? Well, Holly decided to file for divorce in January 2019, but if ya dig a bit deeper, they hadn’t been livin’ under the same roof for almost a year before that. March 2018 was when they went their separate ways, and Holly didn’t waste much time makin’ it official after that. She even wanted her last name to go back to just “Holm,” ya know? Get rid of that Kirkpatrick part, like a clean slate, if ya get my drift.
Now Jeff, he’s a hardworkin’ man, alright. He’s got a good head on his shoulders, and he wasn’t just sittin’ ‘round doin’ nothin’. After he finished school, he got a job at ADESA as a fleet manager. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But after a bit, he decided to come back home to Albuquerque. Family means a lot to folks like Jeff, so he joined his family’s business, AAA Roofing, and got right to work. Rollin’ up his sleeves, he’s one of them fellas who don’t mind gettin’ his hands dirty. Guess you could say he’s got a good work ethic and knows how to stick with what’s important.
Now, one thing that folks like to bring up is that Jeff and Holly never had kids together. Some people say maybe it was ’cause Holly was so focused on her fightin’ career – she’s a real tough one, ya know? When you’re in a sport like UFC, it takes every bit of strength and focus you got. And from what I hear, Jeff understood that. He didn’t seem to mind her puttin’ all her time into trainin’ and competin’. But maybe, just maybe, that focus on fightin’ left a little too much space between ‘em. But who’s to say? Sometimes folks grow apart, and there ain’t much you can do ‘bout it.
Well, as for Jeff these days, he keeps things pretty low-key. Not one to be makin’ big scenes or gettin’ into the news much. He’s a simple fella, just takin’ care of his business and stayin’ close to his roots back in Albuquerque. From what folks say, he’s a man who’s still focused on his work and his family, carryin’ on without all the fuss and ruckus. Guess not everyone’s meant for that high-flyin’ life, and that’s just fine, too. So that’s a bit about Jeff Kirkpatrick – a man who may have been married to a big-time UFC star but always stayed true to his hometown and family values.
