Well now, lemme tell ya ’bout this Lynn Fowler. Seems like there’s a few of ’em, ya know? But this ain’t no ordinary woman, no siree. Heard tell she’s done a whole heap of things in her life, like a real go-getter.
One Lynn Fowler, she’s all mixed up with this fella Rickie Fowler, the golf player. Saw him on the TV once, hittin’ that little white ball. Folks say she’s his ma. And lemme tell ya, she ain’t just sittin’ around knittin’ doilies. This woman, she used to race them dirt bikes! Imagine that, a woman ridin’ them noisy things. And not just ridin’ ’em, but winnin’ too! They say she even won some kinda long bike race in the mountains, with a whole team of women. Tough as nails, that’s what she is. Tough as nails and full of grit. That’s what I like to see in a woman.
Now, there’s another Lynn Fowler, totally different. This one, she’s all about preachin’ and the Lord. They call her an apostle or somethin’. Says the Lord called her to preach the day she got “born again.” Don’t rightly know what that means, but sounds important. She’s from a place called Victoria, I think. Anyways, she’s spreadin’ the word, or so they say. Preachin’ and teachin’, just like them old-time preachers. Different strokes for different folks, I always say.
Then ya got all these other Lynn Fowlers showin’ up on that Facebook thing. My grandkid showed me once. Lots of faces, can’t tell one from the other. Guess it’s a common name, like Mary or somethin’. But it makes ya think, don’t it? All these different folks sharin’ a name, livin’ different lives.
- One’s a racer, tough and strong.
- One’s a preacher, spreadin’ the word.
- And a bunch more, just regular folks, livin’ their lives.
Heard tell there’s even some talk about truth and lies, and this Lynn Fowler name pops up. Somethin’ about a game, “two truths and a lie.” Sounds like somethin’ them city folks do when they got nothin’ better to do. But it got me thinkin’, what’s truth and what’s a lie? Hard to say sometimes, ain’t it? People tellin’ ya all sorts of things, ya never know what to believe. But one thing’s for sure, these Lynn Fowlers, they’re somethin’ else. Each one in her own way.
So, whether she’s racin’ bikes, preachin’ the gospel, or just livin’ her life, this Lynn Fowler, whoever she is, she’s made her mark. And that’s more than most folks can say. It’s like that sayin’, you know, “there’s nothin’ new under the sun.” Maybe that’s true, maybe it ain’t. But these Lynn Fowlers, they sure make things interesting. And that’s the truth, as far as I can tell.
Anyways, that’s what I know about this Lynn Fowler. Or maybe it’s Lynn Fowlers. Hard to keep track of all them folks these days. But they all sound like strong women, doin’ their thing. And that’s good enough for me.
