Okay, so today I was all hyped up to jump into “THE FINALS” and get some matches in. You know, blow off some steam after a long day. But, man, was I in for a frustrating surprise.
The Start of a Disappointing Session
I fired up the game, all ready to go, and hit that “Play” button. The matchmaking started spinning, you know, the usual “searching for players” thing. I was already picturing myself pulling off some sick plays and racking up those wins.

But then, boom! “Matchmaking Cancelled.” Just like that. No explanation, no error code, nothing. Just…cancelled.
The Cycle of Frustration
I was like, “Okay, maybe it’s just a one-time glitch.” So, I tried again. Same thing. And again. And again. Each time, the matchmaking would start, get my hopes up, and then…cancelled. I started to feel like I was stuck in some kind of weird, digital Groundhog Day.
- Tried restarting the game. Nope.
- Rebooted my entire PC. Still nothing.
- Checked my internet connection, even though everything else was working fine. Of course, it was perfect.
I even started to searching internet, but found nothing useful.
Giving Up (For Now)
After what felt like an eternity of trying, I just had to throw in the towel. I mean, there’s only so many times you can watch that “Matchmaking Cancelled” message pop up before you start questioning your sanity.
So, yeah, that was my experience with “THE FINALS” matchmaking today. Total bummer. Hopefully, it’s just a temporary server issue or something, and I can actually, you know, play the game tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
