Okay, so I finally finished Dragon’s Dogma 2, and wow, that ending, right? I had to dive deep into figuring out what the heck just happened. Here’s my journey through the whole thing, from start to, well, the very end.
The Beginning of the End
First, I played through the game normally. I mean, I did all the quests I could find, maxed out a few vocations, and generally just enjoyed being the Arisen. I fought the dragon, got my heart back, the usual hero stuff. Then came the “regular” ending, where I sat on the throne, bored out of my mind. That’s when I started wondering, “Is this it?” I felt there must be more.
Searching for Answers
I started poking around online. I avoided spoilers at first, but eventually, I caved. I found whispers of a “true ending” and something about a “godsbane blade.” That’s where things got interesting. I learned I needed to find the real Pathfinder, and interact with him.
The Red Beam and the Unmoored World
After I found the real pathfinder, and saw a red beam in bight sky.
I spent so much time to prepare for riding on the dragon. It was a tough battle, that’s for sure,and then a crucial moment popped up on the dragon’s back. I was supposed to use the Godsbane Blade on myself, right there on the dragon.
Stabbing Myself (Yes, Really)
It felt weird, I used the Empowered Godsbane Blade on myself and everything went nuts. The Brine consumed the world and I went into the unmoored world.
Saving Everyone… Again
The Unmoored World, all the towns were under attack. I started to save all the people, I followed all the red beam quests in the map, and finally defeated the final *, I saw all the pawns, I found my main pawn. and witness the final cutscene, where the Arisen’s story truly *’s about breaking the cycle, not just becoming the next ruler.
It was a wild ride, and honestly, I’m still processing it all. But that’s my breakdown of how I got the “true” ending in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Hope this helps someone else out there!
