Okay, so I saw this post online about Joe Rogan and his attempt to draw the Three Little Pigs, and I thought, “Hey, I could give that a shot!” I mean, how hard could it be, right? Famous last words.
First, I grabbed my sketchbook and a pencil. I figured I’d start with a simple sketch, you know, just to get the basic shapes down. I googled “three little pigs cartoon” to get some inspiration. I mean, I’ve seen them before but wanted to refresh my memory. I saw plenty of different versions. I picked a style that looked easy enough.
Getting Started
- Started with the first pig. I drew a circle for the head, a bigger oval for the body. Then I added some stick legs and arms. It looked more like a potato with limbs than a pig, honestly.
- Moved on to the second pig. I tried to make it a little different, you know, give it some personality. I gave it a slightly squarer body. Still looked like a potato, just a different kind.
- Then came the third pig. By this point, I was starting to question my life choices. But I persisted. I drew another circle and oval, added limbs. I think I accidentally made one leg longer than the other.
I stood back to admire my work. It was… something. I decided to add some details. I drew little circles for eyes, triangles for ears, and those weird curly tails. I also sketched in some straw for the first pig’s house, sticks for the second, and bricks for the third. I mean, gotta have the houses, right?
After adding the houses, I thought about the wolf. I drew a big, kinda wonky circle for the head, a pointy snout, and some sharp teeth. I tried to make him look menacing, but he ended up looking more confused than anything. My wolf was more likely to ask for directions than blow a house down.
The Final Result
I spent about an hour on this masterpiece. And you know what? It’s terrible. But it’s hilariously terrible. It’s the kind of drawing that makes you laugh because it’s so bad. I showed it to my wife, and she just burst out laughing. She said the pigs looked like they were melting. She’s not wrong.
So, yeah, my attempt to recreate Joe Rogan’s Three Little Pigs drawing was a spectacular failure. But it was a fun failure. It’s a good reminder that not everything has to be perfect. Sometimes, it’s okay to just have a go, even if it ends up looking like a bunch of melting potatoes and a confused wolf. I decided to keep the drawing as a funny memory. I might even frame it. Who knows, maybe it’ll be worth something someday. Probably not, but hey, a guy can dream, right?
