Okay, so today was all about getting those routes planned out for the zzz project. You know, finally tackling that big map of where everything needs to go.
First, I started by opening up the old whiteboard. Yeah, I’m still a whiteboard kind of guy. Something about physically writing stuff down just helps me think better. I drew a rough sketch of the main areas we’re dealing with. Just big boxes, really, nothing fancy.

Then, I grabbed a bunch of different colored markers. One color for each type of, um, ‘entity’ that’s going to be moving around. Makes it easier to keep track of things, you know?
Getting into the Details
- I listed out all the possible starting points. These are like the “homes” for each entity.
- Then I brainstormed all the places they might need to go. Like, all the destinations.
- Next, I started connecting the starting points to the destinations, trying different paths with the markers. This is where it got a little messy, with lines crossing all over the place.
It was like a spiderweb of routes! But, hey, that’s part of the process, right? I kept erasing and redrawing, trying to find the most efficient way to get everything where it needs to be.
After a few hours of fiddling and rearranging, I finally had something that looked pretty good. I mean, it’s not perfect, but it’s a solid plan. I took a picture of the whiteboard with my phone, just in case I accidentally erase something later.
So, yeah, that’s how I spent my day – wrangling routes and markers. It feels good to have this part figured out. Now I can move on to the next step, whatever that is! One step at a time, eh?
