Okay, so today I wanna talk about this dude, Steven Kwan, and his contract stuff. It’s kinda interesting, at least to me, so I figured I’d share my little deep dive.
First off, I went online and tried to find out how long this guy’s been playing. Turns out, as of this year, 2024, he’s been in the MLB for four years. Not bad, right? Then I got curious about the money, obviously. This is where it gets a little juicy. This dude has apparently made nearly three million bucks, $2,847,003 to be exact, playing for the Cleveland Guardians.
Now, I tried to break down that number a bit. From what I could gather, most of that is his base salary, which came out to be $2,184,900. But there was also a signing bonus in there, $185,000, and some other cash they called “incentive,” for $477. It all adds up, I guess.
After that, I stumbled upon his current contract. It’s apparently a one-year deal worth just $757. Which, when you think about the millions he’s already made, seems kinda low, doesn’t it? I mean, compared to other players, it is pretty low.
Then I found some more stuff. It looks like the Guardians have him locked in through 2027, so they’re not letting go of him anytime soon. And there’s some talk about him getting a new deal, a bigger one, I’d assume. Makes sense, he’s been around for a while now, and they seem to like him.
Lastly, I looked up his yearly salary. Now, this is where it gets a little confusing. It says he’s making $727,300 a year. And his net worth? $1,612. Yeah, I know, it doesn’t seem right. Those numbers don’t really line up with the other stuff I found. Maybe I messed up somewhere, or maybe there’s some financial mumbo jumbo I don’t understand.
Anyway, that’s my little investigation into Steven Kwan’s contract situation. It’s not exactly rocket science, but it was fun to dig around and try to piece it all together. Hope you found it at least a little bit interesting. I will continue to update my research, if I get any update I will share with you guys as soon as possible.
