So, I got this idea to make a smackdown card for tonight, I have some friends coming over and we’re gonna watch it together. I figured, why not make it a bit more interesting, right?
First, I grabbed a piece of cardboard from an old box. I found some markers lying around and started brainstorming. I wanted it to look cool, like those official ones, but also kinda homemade, you know?

I started by dividing the cardboard into sections with a ruler, making spaces for each match. Then I wrote down all the matches that are supposed to happen tonight. I double-checked the list online to make sure I didn’t miss anything. My handwriting isn’t the best, but hey, it’s readable.
- First, I listed the main event, the one everyone’s hyped about.
- Then, I added the other matches, trying to order them from what I think will be most to least exciting.
- After that, I drew some silly doodles around the edges, just to make it look a bit more fun.
- Next, I colored in the different sections with the markers. I tried to use different colors for each match, but I only had, like, four colors, so it got a bit repetitive.
I ended up spending about an hour on this thing. It’s not perfect, but it’s got character, right? I showed it to my roommate, and he thought it was pretty cool, or maybe he was just being nice.
Anyway, I taped it to the fridge, so everyone can see it when they come over. I think it’s a fun little addition to our wrestling night. Maybe we’ll even use it to make some friendly bets on who’s gonna win each match.
The Reveal
When my friends arrived, they actually noticed the card right away. Everyone thought it was a cool idea. We ended up using it to keep track of our predictions, and it actually made the whole thing more engaging. We were all yelling and cheering, even more than usual. It’s funny how a simple piece of cardboard can add so much to an evening. I’m definitely doing this again next time.
