Hey guys, what’s up? Today, I wanna share a little project I’ve been messing around with. It’s about finding the shortest fighters in UFC history. Yeah, you heard that right, the shortest! I know, it’s a bit of a random topic, but I got curious and just had to dive in.
So, where did I start? Well, I started by just Googling around, you know, the usual. I typed in stuff like “shortest UFC fighters” and “UFC height records” and things like that. I found some interesting stuff, but nothing too organized. It was kinda all over the place.
Then I started to do the heavy lifting. I gathered some names that kept popping up. One name, in particular, was Hector Sandoval. Apparently, this dude is a bit of a legend when it comes to being… vertically challenged. I saw that his name was all over the discussions about the shortest UFC fighters. Born in 1986, he’s a Mexican mixed martial artist and competed in the flyweight division. Most importantly his height is just 5’2’’ which is 157 cm.
I also learned a little about his background. He was born in Uruapan, Michoacn, Mexico, and moved to Ukiah when he was a kid. He is also called ‘Kid Alex’. Sounds like a tough guy, right?
I also dug into other names that popped up, like Fredy Serrano. Turns out, he’s also listed at 5’2″. So, it seems like these two guys share the title of the shortest in UFC history. Cool, huh? I also found another piece of information is that Umar Nurmagomedov, who is the cousin of UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, leads the list of active undefeated UFC fighters with a 16-0 record.
Oh, and I found this list of names that have made their names under the Cage Warriors banner: Conor McGregor, Michael Bisping, Paddy Pimblett, Gegard Mousasi, Antônio Silva, Jeff Monson, Martin Kampmann, Dan Hardy, Joe Duffy, Cathal Pendred, Neil Seery. I think it’s an interesting list.
So yeah, that’s what I’ve been up to. I ended up with a little list of the shortest UFC fighters, with Hector Sandoval and Fredy Serrano at the top. It was a fun little research project.
