Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with the Sharpshot Talisman in Elden Ring. I’ve heard it boosts the damage of bows and crossbows, and I’m always looking for ways to make my ranged builds a little more deadly.
Finding the Talisman
First things first, I needed to actually get the talisman. I remembered that you could find it in some random place, and after some struggles I finally got it!

Testing it Out
Now for the fun part – seeing if this thing actually works. I equipped the talisman and grabbed my trusty longbow. I also made sure I had a bunch of different arrows to test with.
- Standard Arrows: I started with just regular arrows. I found a group of those weak soldier guys near that one starting area and started plinking away. I fired a few shots without the talisman, then equipped it and fired some more. Honestly, it was hard to tell if there was a big difference. Maybe a tiny bit more damage, but nothing to write home about.
- Special Arrows: Then I thought, “Maybe it works better with special arrows?” So, I tried some fire arrows. Again, I did some shots with and without the talisman. This time, there seemed to be a slightly more noticeable difference. The fire damage seemed to tick for a little bit more, but I might have been imagining things.
My Final Thoughts
So, after spending a good chunk of time shooting at things, here’s what I think. The Sharpshot Talisman…it’s okay. It’s not a game-changer, at least not for my playstyle. It might give you a little extra damage, and it might be more noticeable with special arrows or on certain enemies. Or the damage increase depends on your build.
If you’re running a dedicated bow build and you’ve got a talisman slot to spare, go ahead and slap it on. It won’t hurt. But if you’re tight on space, or you’re not super focused on ranged attacks, you’re probably not missing out on much. I’ll probably keep messing around with it, but I’m not expecting any miracles.
