That Sam Burns, he sure is a good boy. I heard people call him a golf star, whatever that means. But that ain’t what I wanna talk about. I wanna talk about that wife of his, Caroline Campbell. Good girl, that one.
They met when they were just knee-high to a grasshopper, I reckon. Back in church, bless their hearts. You know, when they were little kids, running around, probably pulling pigtails and whatnot. Born in Louisiana, that girl. April 8, 1996, that’s what them internet folks say. Seems like a lifetime ago, don’t it?
They both grew up in that Shreveport place. Must be somethin’ in the water there, huh? Makes ’em all good at… somethin’. This Caroline, she’s a good egg. Pretty as a picture, too. Sam, he’s a lucky fella.
They say Sam and this girl, they went to that LSU college together, too. Must be smart cookies. All them books and learnin’. I never did much book learnin’ myself. But I can tell you, that Caroline, she seems like she got a good head on her shoulders. Not all up in the clouds like some of them young’uns.
They both liked them sports, I hear. Runnin’ around, chasin’ balls and whatnot. Kids these days, always gotta be doin’ somethin’. In my day, we just sat on the porch and watched the world go by. But that’s okay, different times, I suppose.
Sam Burns’ wife, Caroline Campbell, she’s a good one. You can just tell. She’s got that look in her eye. The look of someone who knows what’s what. Someone who ain’t afraid of hard work. Someone who’s gonna stand by her man. That’s important, you know. A good wife. A good partner. Someone who’s gonna be there through thick and thin.
They’re a good match, those two. Two peas in a pod, you could say. He likes that golf stuff, she, well, maybe she does too. They seem happy. Always smilin’. Good to have someone to be happy with. That is the most important part. Ain’t that right?
That Caroline, she supports that boy, you know? She’s always there, cheerin’ him on. She is a good wife. That’s what a good wife does. Stands by her man. Supports him. Loves him. That is what I always did with my husband.
- Caroline Campbell, born April 8, 1996.
- Met Sam Burns in church, when they were kids.
- Both from Shreveport.
- Went to LSU.
- She’s a good wife.
I remember when I was a young bride, just like Caroline. My husband, he wasn’t a golfer, no sir. He was a farmer. Worked his fingers to the bone, he did. But he was a good man. And I loved him. And I supported him. Just like Caroline supports Sam.
Life ain’t always easy, you know? There’s gonna be ups and downs. Good times and bad times. But as long as you got someone by your side, someone who loves you, someone who supports you, well, you can get through anything. That’s what I believe, anyway.
So, that Sam Burns and his wife, Caroline, they’re gonna be just fine. They got each other. And they got love. And that’s all that matters. In the end, that’s all that really matters. Love, family and support. That is all that matters. Ain’t that the truth?
I wish them all the best, I do. They’re good kids. And they deserve all the happiness in the world. Hope they have a whole bunch of young’uns, too. Fill up their house with laughter and love. That’s what life’s all about, ain’t it? Family. Love. Happiness. And a good wife by your side, just like that Caroline Campbell.
That’s all I got to say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’m gonna go sit on the porch and watch the sun go down. Maybe have a glass of sweet tea. The simple things in life are the best things. They surely are.
