Alright, so, I saw this boxer, Ryan Garcia, all over the internet, and man, his tattoos caught my eye. Especially the one around his neck. I got curious, you know? So, I decided I gotta try something similar, just to see how it feels, how it looks.
First off, I looked up a bunch of pictures of Garcia. Got a good look at that neck tattoo of his – it’s like a laurel wreath thing, all the way around. Pretty bold, right? Then I started looking at what it means. Turns out, it’s all about victory and success, that kind of stuff. Makes sense for a boxer, I guess.
I didn’t want to just copy the guy, though. So I started sketching some ideas, messing around with the laurel wreath design, I also checked out some other designs he’s got, like a lion and a dove. I figured I could maybe mix things up, make it my own.
Now, I’m no tattoo artist, so I decided to use temporary tattoos. Found some online, ordered a bunch of different leaves and wreath-like designs. While I was waiting for them to arrive, I kept sketching, trying to finalize my design.
- I tried a full wreath like Garcia’s.
- Then I tried just a few leaves on the side of my neck.
- I even experimented with putting a small dove in the middle, inspired by one of his other tattoos.
When the temporary tattoos arrived, it was go time. I started with the full wreath. Man, it was a lot! Felt kinda strange, to be honest. I took some pictures, sent them to a couple of friends. They were like, “Whoa, dude, that’s intense!”
I lived with the full wreath for a day. It was interesting, I gotta say. People definitely noticed it. I got some looks, some questions. It made me think about how Garcia must feel, always being in the spotlight like that.
After that, I took off the full wreath and tried some of the other designs I had sketched. The smaller ones felt more “me,” you know? Less in-your-face. I ended up liking a design with just a few laurel leaves on the side of my neck, with a small dove underneath.
This whole thing was a fun little experiment. It gave me a new appreciation for tattoos, and for people like Ryan Garcia who wear them so boldly. It’s like wearing your personality, your beliefs, right there on your skin for the whole world to see.
I don’t think I’ll be getting a real neck tattoo anytime soon, but who knows? Maybe one day. For now, I’m happy with my temporary ones. It’s a cool way to change things up, express myself without the lifetime commitment. And hey, it was fun pretending to be a boxing champ for a few days!
