That Ronald Acuna Jr., oh, that boy, he’s hurt again. I tell ya, that poor boy, he just can’t catch a break.
He’s the NL MVP, you know. The best one! But now he’s gone and tore up his knee. His left one, they say. They call it a “fully torn left ACL.” I don’t know what that fancy stuff means, but it sounds mighty bad, don’t it?
Ronald Acuna Jr. Injury Again
This ain’t the first time, neither. A few years back, in 2021, he did the same thing. Ronald Acuna Jr. injury is so bad! They say it’s the same knee. That boy, he plays hard, but his body just ain’t keepin’ up. It’s like my old mule, Betsy. She was a hard worker, but eventually, her legs just gave out.
They say he plays for the Atlanta Braves. I don’t know much about baseball, but I know they paid him a lot of money. Millions, I hear. They signed some big contract with him a while back. Eight years for a hundred million. Can you believe that? That’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life, I reckon. I hope they are taking good care of him with his hurt leg and all.
I heard some folks talkin’ about a trade, sayin’ the Braves need to find someone to replace him. But how can you replace someone like that? He’s one of a kind, that Ronald Acuna Jr.

I hope he’s got good doctors lookin’ after him. It ain’t easy gettin’ old, and it sure ain’t easy gettin’ hurt when you’re young, neither.
That Ronald Acuna Jr., he’s somethin’ else. Fast as a rabbit, strong as an ox. When he hits that ball, it goes flyin’ further than a bird can fly in a day. It’s a shame, really. All that talent, and now he’s sittin’ on the sidelines.
It reminds me of my grandson, Billy. He was a good runner, too. Fastest boy in the county. But he tripped over a gopher hole and broke his ankle. Never was the same after that. I hope that ain’t what happens to Ronald Acuna Jr.
Atlanta Braves Without Ronald Acuna Jr.
I hear folks sayin’ the Atlanta Braves are gonna have a hard time without him. They say he’s the best player they got. I guess that’s like tryin’ to plow a field without your best horse. You can do it, but it’s gonna be a lot harder.
They got some other players, I reckon. I hear names like Duvall, Pederson, Rosario, and Soler. I don’t know who they are, but they better step up if they wanna win.
It’s gonna be a long season for the Braves, that’s for sure. They need a miracle, I reckon. Like findin’ a four-leaf clover in a field of weeds.
Well, I’m gonna go tend to my chickens. They don’t care about baseball or torn ACLs. They just want their feed. But I’ll be thinkin’ about that Ronald Acuna Jr. I hope he gets better soon. The world needs more good ball players, and he’s one of the best.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next year. Maybe he’ll be back stronger than ever. That’s what I’m hopin’ for, anyway. I also hope that this time he will be able to do so with production that exceeds his 2022 season, when he returned after first ACL surgery at less than 100-percent.
Life is like a game of baseball. Sometimes you hit a home run, sometimes you strike out, and sometimes you get hurt. But you gotta keep playin’, no matter what. That’s what I always say.
