Well, ya see, folks, there’s been a lotta talk ’round the WWE lately ’bout that Roman Reigns fella, ya know, the one they call “The Tribal Chief.” Now, I ain’t one for all them fancy words, but I can tell ya this much—Roman ain’t gonna be in this year’s draft. Yep, you heard me right, he ain’t eligible.
Now, for them who ain’t up to speed, let me tell ya how things work in the WWE. Every year, they do this big draft thing, where they pick wrestlers to go to different shows like Raw or SmackDown. Some folks get picked first, and they become the big stars for the year. But this year, Roman Reigns ain’t gonna be one of ’em. Not that he needs the draft, mind ya—he’s already a big deal. But still, it sure is a little strange.
Ya see, Roman’s been the first pick in every draft since the pandemic hit. Yep, every time. They’ve had to decide which superstars are gonna be the face of the company, and Roman’s always been that face. But now, he’s decided to step back. He don’t wanna be the first pick this year, and he sure don’t wanna be a part of that draft hoopla.
In a little backstage chat, Paul Heyman—ya know, the guy who’s always yapping in Roman’s ear—he spilled the beans. He said Roman had pulled his name outta the draft. Now, I ain’t real clear on all them technical things, but it sounds like Roman don’t wanna be picked. Maybe he thinks he don’t need it, maybe he thinks it ain’t worth the hassle, I dunno. But one thing’s for sure, he ain’t gonna be part of that big show this year.
Now, I reckon some of ya might be wonderin’, “Why’s he doin’ this?” Well, I think it’s ‘cause Roman knows he’s already at the top. Ain’t nobody gonna take his spot, and he don’t need the draft to tell him where he’s gonna go. He’s the big man in charge, and he knows it. I mean, the fella’s been around the block, he’s done it all, so why bother with all them draft picks, huh?
And let me tell ya, it ain’t just about Roman this year. There’s a whole lotta folks in that WWE family, all them members of The Bloodline, who were supposed to be in the draft too. But Roman, he don’t wanna be a part of it. It’s a bit like a family reunion, ya know? Everyone shows up, but some folks just decide to stay home and skip the fuss. That’s Roman for ya.
But here’s the kicker, folks. Even though Roman pulled outta the draft, WWE still gonna have to make a big decision about who’s gonna be the faces of the company. They can’t just let it go like that. They still gotta pick folks to lead, and it ain’t gonna be Roman this time. But don’t you worry, he’ll still be around. He’s still “The Tribal Chief,” after all. Ain’t no draft gonna change that.
So, there ya have it. Roman Reigns ain’t eligible to be drafted this year. He’s made his choice, and WWE’s gotta figure out who’s gonna take his spot. Maybe it’ll be someone new, maybe it’ll be someone we’ve seen before. But one thing’s for sure, Roman Reigns is gonna keep on doing his thing, no matter what. Ain’t nobody gonna stop him, draft or no draft.
