Alright, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure with creating a “Reverse: 1999” tier list. I’m no pro gamer, but I do enjoy messing around with tier lists, and “Reverse: 1999” has been my latest obsession.
Getting Started
First things first, I booted up the game. I mean, you gotta play it to know what’s what, right? I spent a good chunk of time just playing through different stages, trying out various characters, and seeing how they performed.

I grabbed a notebook (yeah, I’m old school like that) and started jotting down my initial impressions. Who felt strong? Who felt weak? Who was just plain fun to use? These were the kinds of questions I was asking myself.
Experimenting with Team Comps
Next, I started experimenting. I threw together different team combinations, mixing and matching characters to see what kind of synergies I could find. Some combos were surprisingly effective, while others… well, let’s just say they didn’t work out so well. I made notes of everything, the good and the bad.
Digging into the Details
It wasn’t enough to just rely on my own gameplay. I headed to some online communities and started reading what other players had to say. I checked out some guides, forum posts, and even watched a few videos. I didn’t want to just copy someone else’s tier list, though. I wanted to use this info to inform my own opinions.
Putting It All Together
After all that playing, note-taking, and researching, I finally sat down to create my tier list. I used a simple tier list maker website.I dragged and dropped characters into different tiers, from S (the best) to D (the… not-so-best). It wasn’t easy! There were some characters I really struggled to place, and I kept going back and forth.
- I started with broad categories, like “Damage Dealers,” “Supports,” and “Tanks.”
- I tried to rank by the usefulness.
The Final Product (and Tweaks!)
Finally, I had something I was reasonably happy * took much time! I’ve tweaked it a few times since then, as I’ve continued to play the game and learn new things.
So, that’s the story of how I made my “Reverse: 1999” tier list. It was a fun process, and it definitely helped me understand the game better. Remember, tier lists are subjective, so your mileage may vary! Just have fun and experiment to find what works best for you.
