Okay, so I’ve been playing a ton of PUBG lately, and I got this crazy idea to make my own map. I’m no game developer, but I figured, why not? Let’s do it!
Getting Started
First things first, I needed a basic idea. I spent like a whole afternoon just brainstorming. What kind of environment did I want? Big city? Desert? Jungle? I ended up sketching some rough layouts on paper. Nothing fancy, just some circles and squares to represent buildings and areas, I doodled for hours!
Finding the Tools
Next, I realized I needed some actual, tools. I started googling around. I found out, it is very hard.
Laying things out
After a few tries, I felt a little bit better.
- First:Draw some simple lines.
- Second:Make it real.
Giving Up
I worked on it here and there when I had free time. But after many days, I felt a little bit tired, this work, needs a lot of professional skills, I think I need to give up, maybe some day, I will try it again.
