Okay, so, today I want to talk about this thing I did, “ping yi chen.” It wasn’t exactly planned, but it turned into a whole journey.
It all started when I was messing around online. I stumbled upon this name, Ping Yi Chen, and I got curious. First, I just did a simple search. It seemed like this person is related to music or something, because I found a mention of them being an Adjunct Instructor – Conducting at James Madison University. There was also something about a “Spring String Thing.” That sounded interesting, but not exactly what I was looking for.
Then, I dug a bit deeper. I found a profile on a professional networking site where this Ping Yi Chen had like 261 connections. Seemed like a music person in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Not really my field, so I moved on.
I kept searching and found someone on a social media platform with the same name. I thought maybe I could connect, you know, just see what this person is about. But there wasn’t much info there, so I didn’t bother.
Research Paper?
Next, I found some research paper with initials “P Chen” as a co-author, the paper was published in 2022, titled something like “arXiv:2210.07862”. There were several other co-authors, with names like Z Shui, J Cai, etc. I skimmed through it, but it was all technical jargon, and my eyes just glazed over. Definitely not my cup of tea.
There was also some page about investing, mentioning brokerages like Fidelity and stuff. Not related to Ping Yi Chen, but it popped up in my search, so I checked it out. I don’t know anything about stocks, so I just skipped that quickly.
Ping Pong?
Then, I had a weird thought. What if it’s “ping” as in ping pong? I’m in New York City, and I’ve always wanted to get into ping pong. So, I did a search for “ping pong in NYC.” I found some forums where people were talking about joining clubs. Maybe that’s what “ping yi chen” is about? It’s a long shot, but hey, you never know.
So, that’s where I’m at now. I started looking for a person and ended up thinking about learning ping pong. Funny how the internet works, right? I might actually go check out some of those ping pong clubs. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a ping pong pro. Or maybe I’ll find out who Ping Yi Chen really is. Either way, it’s been an interesting ride.
