Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this whole Phillies at Red Sox game thing. I’m a huge baseball fan, and when I saw this matchup, I knew I had to figure out how to watch it.
First, I googled around to see when the game was even happening. Turns out, it’s happening on a few different days, so I picked the one that worked best for my schedule – Tuesday, June 12th at 7:10 PM ET. Nice, a primetime game!
Then came the hard part – figuring out how to actually watch the darn thing. I checked the MLB website, but you gotta pay for MLB TV to stream it there. And, I’m not really trying to add another subscription to my list right now.
So I dug a little deeper. It looks like if you live in the New England area, you can get NESN 360, which is like a special channel just for Red Sox games. But, I’m not in New England, so that’s a no-go. There is also a free option, Fubo, which I’m a little bit interested in because it says “Free trial”.
I also found out that NBC 10 is showing the game. Finally, a normal channel I might actually have!
My Game Plan
- Try NBC 10 first. Hopefully, my cable package includes it. Fingers crossed!
- If NBC 10 is a bust, I might just sign up for that Fubo free trial.
- If all else fails, I might have to resort to following the game on a live scores app. Not ideal, but better than nothing.
Also, I saw that Alec Bohm is playing for the Phillies, and Jarren Duran for the Red Sox. They’re both pretty good players, so that’s something to look forward to.
Anyway, that’s my whole saga of trying to watch this Phillies-Red Sox game. It’s a bit more complicated than it should be, but where there’s a will, there’s a way, right? I’ll update you guys on how I end up watching it!
Update: NBC 10 worked like a charm! Game on!
