Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Persona 3 Reload lately, specifically messing around with Theurgy combos. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.
First, I started by just playing the game normally, you know? Getting a feel for the characters, their Personas, and the basic mechanics. I noticed Theurgy skills early on, but I didn’t really pay them much attention at first. Big mistake! These things are powerful.

Then, I hit a wall. A tough boss, I can’t even remember which one, but it was kicking my butt. I was getting frustrated, ready to throw my controller. That’s when I decided to really look into this Theurgy stuff.
Experiment Time!
I spent hours, and I mean hours, just experimenting. I went into Tartarus, picked different party members, and just started throwing skills around. I was trying to figure out what worked well together, what filled up the Theurgy gauge faster, and what just looked plain cool.
- I found out that using skills that exploit weaknesses is key. It really speeds up filling that Theurgy gauge.
- Certain characters have Theurgy skills that boost the whole party. I’m looking at you. These are gold.
- Some combos, while not the most damaging, are just awesome to watch. I’m a sucker for flashy animations. Jack Brothers is simple but cute.
- Scarlet Havoc is good with crit buff.
It was a lot of trial and error. I died a bunch of times, I wasted a lot of SP, and I probably made some really dumb decisions. But, slowly but surely, I started to see patterns.
I began to understand which characters synergized well. I learned which Theurgy skills were best for single targets versus groups. And, most importantly, I figured out how to chain them together for maximum devastation.
Now, I’m not going to claim I’m a master or anything. I’m still learning, still experimenting. But I’m definitely having a lot more fun, and those bosses aren’t quite so scary anymore. It’s all about finding the right combinations, and that takes time, patience, and a whole lot of button mashing.
My biggest takeaway? Don’t sleep on Theurgy skills! They’re a game-changer. Go out there, experiment, and find your own favorite combos. You might surprise yourself with what you come up with.
