Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Karlach in my latest playthrough, and I gotta say, this bleed build I stumbled upon is absolutely nuts. It all started when I was getting my butt kicked, and I was like, “There’s gotta be a better way to use this barbarian!”
So, I started digging through items and feats, trying to figure out how to make Karlach more than just a rage machine. I wanted something… different. Then it hit me: bleed. What if I could make her inflict massive bleed damage?

The Experiment Begins
First thing I did was respec her. Dumped some points into, you know, the usual suspects like Strength, and Constitution, ensuring she can take it and hit hard in the first place.
Then came the fun part: gear hunting. I scoured every vendor, looted every chest, and basically turned the game world upside down looking for anything that mentioned “bleed” or “hemorrhage”. I found a few key pieces, some gloves that add extra bleed damage, an ammy that made my attacks painful with bleed, and this gnarly looking weapon that had a chance to cause bleeding on every hit.
Putting It All Together
Next, I started experimenting with different combat scenarios. I threw Karlach into the thick of it, activating Rage, and just watched the enemies melt. Seriously, it was like watching a blender made of blood and steel. The key, I found, was to focus on enemies that weren’t resistant to bleed. Goblins? Toast. Bugbears? More like bloodbears. Anything fleshy, really, just turned into a red mist.
I played around with different feats too. Savage Attacker is always a solid choice.
The Results
- Enemies melt: Seriously, the bleed stacks up so fast, it’s insane.
- Crowd control: Even if enemies don’t die immediately, they’re weakened and easier to deal with.
- Karlach is a beast: With the right gear and feats, she becomes an unstoppable force of nature.
The best part? It’s just FUN. Watching enemies slowly (or quickly) bleed out is incredibly satisfying. It’s a totally different way to play Karlach, and it’s made my game so much more enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a new way to spice up your Baldur’s Gate 3 playthrough, give this bleed build a try. You won’t regret it. Just be prepared to get a little… bloody.
