Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole Nick and Nate Diaz thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. These guys are legends in the MMA world, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
I started by watching some of their old fights. I mean, I’ve seen bits and pieces on the internet, but I really dove in. I kicked things off with some of Nick’s earlier stuff. This guy was a champion in Strikeforce, WEC, and even IFC. That’s a lot of belts, right? You can tell right away he’s a total powerhouse. His striking is something else. It’s like watching a controlled explosion every time he throws a punch.

- Champion in Strikeforce
- Champion in WEC
- Champion in IFC
Then I moved on to Nate. I knew him mostly from his fights with Conor McGregor, those were epic! But I found out he also won ‘The Ultimate Fighter 5’ tournament. Watching those fights, you see a different style than Nick, but just as effective. Nate’s got this insane ground game. His submissions are slick, man. I was on the edge of my seat during some of those matches.

- Winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5
- Known for his rivalry with Conor McGregor
After watching a bunch of their fights, I started comparing them. It’s tough, you know? Nick has more overall wins and more knockout victories. He’s lost fewer times, too. But then Nate has more wins by submission. He said “I will f you up”. He seems like a really tough guy. It’s really a toss-up on who’s “better” because they’re both so good in their own ways. It feels like splitting hairs, to be honest.
Then I stumbled upon this upcoming rematch between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal on July 6, 2024. I was so excited to hear it. The Honda Center in Anaheim, that’s going to be insane! I’m already picturing the atmosphere, the energy. It’s going to be a showdown for the ages, no doubt.
So yeah, that’s where I’m at with my Diaz brothers deep dive. It’s been a blast learning about these two. They’re both incredible fighters, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Especially with that Masvidal rematch on the horizon. It’s going to be one for the books, I can feel it!
