Okay, here’s my blog post about the HSR 2.3 maintenance, written from my personal experience and in a casual, conversational tone:
Alright, so the 2.3 update for Honkai: Star Rail was coming, and you know what that means – maintenance downtime! I always get a little antsy during these things because I’m itching to jump into the new content. This time, I figured I’d actually document what I did to prepare and how it all went down. Hopefully, it will be a bit helpful, or at least entertaining.

Getting Ready (The Night Before)
First things first, I made sure all my daily stuff was done. You know the drill:
- Daily Training: Knocked those out. Gotta get those sweet, sweet materials.
- Simulated Universe: Cleared at lest once, didn’t spend time for hard runs.
- Assignments: Sent my characters out on those long assignments so they’d be done after the maintenance. Efficiency, baby!
- Stamina: This is the big one. I tried to burn down my Trailblaze Power as much as possible. I didn’t want to waste any precious resin… I mean, Trailblaze Power. But here, I have a small tip, save your some Immersifiers or some saved stamina from weekly reset or from events, it’s a good option for the new echo of war.
I also made sure to double-check the official announcement for the maintenance start time. Gotta be precise! I even set a reminder on my phone, just in case. I’ve missed the start of maintenance before and wasted precious Power, and it felt bad. Don’t be like past me.
The Waiting Game (Maintenance Day)
Maintenance day arrived! I woke up, grabbed some coffee, and resisted the urge to open the game. I knew it wouldn’t work, but the temptation was real. Instead, I hopped on the forums and social media to see what other people were saying. It’s always fun to see the hype (and the occasional complaint) during these downtimes.
I also used this time to plan out what I wanted to do first when the servers came back up. New story quests? Character trials? Events? So many choices!
The Green Light! (Servers Up)
Finally, the glorious moment arrived! I got the notification that the update was complete. I launched the game as fast as my fingers could tap. There’s always that little bit of anxiety hoping there won’t be any server issues, but thankfully, everything went smoothly. I was in!

First, I updated the new patch, around 7GB, and then I wait for the extracting, and it took me like 20 minutes to extracting and loading all the new files.
I immediately dove into the new story content, and that’s about how I started to roll the new patch, I will share more after I clear the story and event!
So, that was my 2.3 maintenance experience. Pretty standard, but always exciting. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some new content to explore! Have fun, Trailblazers!
