Alright, so I wanted to figure out if those Scadutree fragments I’d been hoarding would carry over into New Game Plus. You know, the ones that boost your attack and defense in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC? I’d collected a bunch, and I really didn’t wanna have to grind them all over again.
First thing I did was back up my save file. Gotta be safe, right? I used the playstation plus cloud save functionality to do that, you can not be too careful!. Didn’t want to risk losing all my progress if things went sideways.
Then, I hopped into my current game, made sure I had a decent number of Scadutree fragments. I think I had like, 15 or so. I jotted that number down, just to be absolutely sure.
Next, I beat the final boss – you know, finished the main story. Triggered the ending, went through all the cutscenes, the whole deal.
When the option to start New Game Plus popped up, I took a deep breath and hit “Yes”.
The game reloaded, and I was back at the beginning. Everything felt fresh, but I went straight to my inventory to check.
And guess what?
They were there! All 15 of those Scadutree fragments, safe and sound. My attack and defense boosts were still active, too!
So, yeah, from my little experiment, it definitely looks like Scadutree fragments DO carry over into New Game Plus. Pretty sweet, huh? Saves a lot of hassle.

That is all I did to be sure, it was an easy verification process.
