Okay, so I finally jumped into this “Record of Reflective Writing” event in Genshin. I’d heard some buzz about it, and being Adventure Rank… uh, let’s just say “well over 20,” I figured I’d give it a shot. I’m so glad that I already did that crazy long Archon Quest, the one in Inazuma. You really need to finish that before even trying this event, otherwise it is not so fun.
Getting Started Was a Breeze
First I tracked down the event in the menu. It wasn’t hard to find, thankfully. The game is pretty good about pointing you where you need to go. Then, it was just a matter of teleporting over to the spot they marked on the map, easy peasy.

Figuring Out the Mechanics
Once I got there, things got a little confusing. There’s this whole thing about taking pictures, and they don’t give you amazing instructions,At the beginning,I was confused about how is it work! So, I messed around with the camera for a bit. I zoomed in, zoomed out, changed the angles… you know, the usual. I think I took like, ten pictures of just a random tree before I finally figured out what the game wanted.
- Tip 1: Pay close attention to the little hints they give you. They’re easy to miss, but super important!
- Tip 2: Don’t be afraid to experiment. Seriously, just click all the buttons and see what happens.
My “Aha!” Moment
The big breakthrough came when I realized I needed to match the picture to these… I guess you’d call them “reference images”? It’s like a before-and-after thing. You have to make your picture look like the “after” shot. Once I got that, it was actually pretty fun. It’s kind of like a puzzle, trying to find the right spot and the right angle.
The Rewards, Though…
Honestly, I was flying the whole time. I managed to get all the rewards in, like, one sitting. It wasn’t that hard once I understood the basic idea. And the rewards? Pretty standard event stuff. Some Mora, some EXP books, the usual. Nothing mind-blowing, but hey, free stuff is free stuff, right?
Overall, I’d say it’s a decent little event. Not the most exciting thing Genshin’s ever done, but a nice way to kill some time and earn some easy rewards. If you’re bored and have already finished the main quests, give it a shot. Just don’t expect it to change your life,so don’t be too serious about it! Just have fun!
