Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure with Monopoly Go and those elusive free shovels.
So, I started playing Monopoly Go a while back, and like everyone else, I was always running out of shovels. It’s frustrating, right? You’re trying to build up your landmarks, and bam, you’re stuck waiting.

I did what anyone would do – I started Googling. “Monopoly Go free shovels,” “how to get more shovels in Monopoly Go,” you name it, I searched it. I saw some, well, sketchy stuff out there. Promises of unlimited shovels, generators, all that jazz. I’m not gonna lie, I was tempted, but my gut told me “no way.” I’ve been down that road before with other games, and it never ends well. Account bans, viruses, the whole nine yards. Not worth it.
So, I decided to stick to the legit methods. I started paying closer attention to the game itself.
First thing I really focused on was the daily login bonus. It’s such a simple thing, but it adds up. Every day, you get a little something, and sometimes it’s shovels! I made sure to log in every single day, even if I only had a few minutes to play.
Then there are the events. Monopoly Go is always running some kind of event. Seriously, always. And a lot of the time, the rewards include shovels. I started participating in every event I could, even the ones that seemed kinda lame. Every little bit helps, right?
The Quick Wins, those were a goldmine, I soon realized every day I needed to finish the quick wins to get closer to better rewards.
And, of course, there’s the community chest. You get a chance to open that every day, and while it’s not guaranteed shovels, it’s definitely a possibility. Plus, you get other goodies too, so it’s a win-win.
My “A-Ha!” Moment
But here’s the thing that really changed the game for me: sticking with it. It sounds so obvious, but it’s true. It’s not about getting a ton of shovels all at once. It’s about consistently collecting those little rewards over time. It’s a grind, for sure, but it’s a legit grind.
I did find that playing more, to complete events, win tournaments, finish Quick Wins really had an influence.
So, that’s my story. No magic tricks, no shady hacks, just good old-fashioned persistence. It’s not the most exciting answer, but it’s the honest one. And hey, my landmarks are looking pretty good these days, so I must be doing something right!
