Alright, so I finally got around to building up Sethos. You know how it is, new character drops, gotta get ’em leveled. Then I hit the wall – needed a ton of Trishiraite. Never really farmed it much before, so I figured, how hard could it be?
First thing, I opened the map, zoomed into Sumeru. Remembered vaguely it was in the desert, but the newer parts, not the main sandy bit. The game guide thingy wasn’t super helpful, just pointed to the general area. Typical.

Heading Out There
So I teleported over to that Gavireh Lajavard area, you know, the place with all the weird grey rocks and those giant flying snake things. Started running around. My first pass? Found maybe like, five. Seriously underwhelming. These rocks, they kinda blend in if you’re not really looking.
They’re supposed to be these teal-colored things sticking out of other rocks. Found most of ’em embedded in cliffsides or just sitting on rocky outcrops. Not really deep in caves, more like out in the open, just… scattered.
The Actual Grind
Okay, here’s what actually worked for me after wasting some time just wandering:
- I started focusing specifically on the greyish, craggy hills. Ignored the sandy dunes mostly.
- Looked high and low. Some were near the ground, others needed a bit of climbing.
- The area around that giant Wenut tunnel entrance, north-ish part of the map? Decent spot. Found a few clusters there.
- Also checked the Temir Mountains region. More hills, more running.
Brought Zhongli along. His pillar skill makes breaking these things way faster. Otherwise, you’re whacking away with a claymore user for a bit on each one. It’s not like smashing crystal chunks, takes a few hits.
Honestly, it felt like a bit of a chore. They aren’t packed together like some other ores. You run, spot one or two, break ’em, then run some more. Needed way more than I thought for Sethos too, so I had to do a couple of rounds, waiting for respawns or visiting a friend’s world (which I hate doing).
So yeah, that was my Trishiraite run. Find the grey rocky areas in the later Sumeru desert parts, keep your eyes peeled for the teal lumps, and bring someone who can smash rocks good. Took longer than I wanted, but got it done eventually. Now onto the next grind, I guess.
