Alright, so I’ve been spending some time messing around with Town Hall 10 attacks again lately, trying to figure out what still works well in 2023. Found myself going back to a hybrid style attack, mixing a Queen Charge with hogs and miners. It’s been pretty interesting, figured I’d share how I’ve been doing it.
First thing I do is scout the base, obviously. I’m looking for a few key things. Where are those pesky Inferno Towers? Are they set to single or multi? That changes things. Also gotta find the enemy Clan Castle and the Archer Queen. My main goal with the first part of the attack, the Queen Charge, is to take out the CC troops and the enemy Queen if possible. I also try to see where I can get good value, maybe take down an Inferno or key defenses like X-Bows along the way. Need to check where the air sweepers are pointing too, don’t want them pushing my healers off my Queen.

So, once I have a rough idea, I cook up my army. It usually looks something like this: my own Archer Queen (gotta have her high level, makes life easier), about 4 or 5 Healers for her. Then the main punch: maybe 12-15 Hogs and 12-15 Miners. For support, I bring a few Wizards for cleanup or funneling, maybe a Baby Dragon for the same reason, some Wall Breakers if needed for the Queen walk, and filler like Archers or Goblins. Spells are important: usually 2 Rage Spells for the Queen, 2 or 3 Heal Spells for the hogs and miners, a Poison Spell for the CC troops, and maybe a Freeze Spell or two for Infernos or splash damage.
Okay, attack time. I start by dropping my Queen on one side. Then quickly drop the Healers behind her. The goal is to make her walk into the base towards those targets I picked out – the enemy Queen and CC. Sometimes I need to drop a Baby Dragon or a couple of wizards to make sure she goes the right way, creating a funnel. If there’s a wall in the way, I send in the Wall Breakers. Gotta be careful here, sometimes they get wrecked before opening the wall. When the enemy CC troops come out, I drop the Poison Spell on them and use a Rage Spell on my Queen and Healers so she takes them down fast. Might need another Rage if she’s taking heavy fire or fighting the enemy Queen.
While the Queen is doing her thing, I need to set up the other side of the funnel. I usually use my Barbarian King and maybe a few wizards over there. Sometimes I bring a Siege Barracks in my Clan Castle. I drop that near where I want the hogs and miners to go in, so the Pekka and wizards that pop out help clear buildings and guide the main group.
Once the funnels are set and my Queen has taken out some key stuff, I unleash the main force. I drop the Miners first, usually spread out in a line, followed immediately by the Hogs right behind them. They should hopefully path right into the middle of the base now. As they move through, I watch their health closely. When they bunch up near splash defenses like Wizard Towers or Bomb Towers, or especially near multi-target Infernos, I drop a Heal Spell over them. You gotta predict where they are going and lead the spell a bit. I use my Grand Warden ability (if I brought one in the CC, usually not at TH10 though unless donated) or just keep healing.
The last part is mostly watching it unfold. I use any remaining Freeze Spells on critical defenses that are hammering my troops. Maybe drop a few leftover wizards or archers around the edges to help clean up buildings faster so I don’t run out of time. It’s easy to get a high percentage destruction but miss the 3-star because of time.
Honestly, it doesn’t always go perfectly. Sometimes my Queen decides to take a lovely stroll around the outside of the base instead of going in. Other times, I mess up the Heal Spells, or a Giant Bomb surprises my hogs. It takes practice to get the timing and placement right. But when it works, it feels pretty good. It seems like a solid option for TH10 right now, handles a lot of common base layouts if you execute it decently. Just gotta keep practicing those Queen walks and spell timings.
