Okay, so I saw this “the rock turtleneck” thing all over the internet and thought, “I gotta try this.” It looked simple enough, and I figured, why not? Here’s how it went down:
Finding the Gear
First, I needed a black turtleneck. Surprisingly, that was the hardest part! I went to like three different stores before I found one that fit decently. It wasn’t perfect, but it would do. Then, I dug around in my jewelry box for a silver chain. I had this chunky one I hadn’t worn in ages, and it seemed to fit the vibe.

Setting Up
Next, I needed a place to take the picture. My apartment’s kinda messy, so I cleared a small space near a window for some natural light. I propped up my phone on a stack of books – totally professional, I know.
Striking a Pose
- I put on the turtleneck and chain.
- I tried to copy The Rock’s pose – you know, the slightly tilted head, the raised eyebrow.
- I felt pretty silly, to be honest.
- I took a bunch of pictures, experimenting the different angles.
The Final Result
After a few (okay, maybe a lot) of tries, I got a picture I didn’t totally hate. It wasn’t exactly “The Rock” level, but it was good enough for a laugh. I posted it on my Instagram story, and a few friends replied with laughing emojis. Mission accomplished, I guess!
Honestly, the whole thing was more fun than I expected. It’s a bit goofy, but sometimes it’s good to not take yourself too seriously, right? Would I do it again? Maybe. If I find a better turtleneck.
